Student Testimonials

Contributions to Fairfield’s scholarship program make a significant difference in the lives of our students. Below are words of thanks from some of the many students who, during the 2011-12 academic year, received scholarships that were made possible through the generosity of our donors.

“My time here at Fairfield and abroad would not be possible if it were not for the gracious support I received. I am beyond thankful that there are individuals who are so kind as to give a student, such as me, life changing experiences. I hope one day to be able to give back and help change someone’s life for the better.”

“Coming here is the greatest opportunity that I have had in my entire life and without your generosity it would have not been possible. I am forever grateful.”

“I would like to send a big thanks to the donor(s) of my scholarship. I am the first to attend college in my family and will be the first to graduate with a bachelor’s degree.  Fairfield University has molded me to be the person that I am today and I must say that I am very proud.  Thank you for your generosity and kind-heartedness.”

- Glorivette Rodriguez ’12

“Your generosity means the world to me. Because of you, I am able to study at a school that I love, and make meaningful connections that will benefit me no matter where I go in life. The Jesuit tradition here at Fairfield is very special to me. I believe the gift of education is one of the greatest gifts a person can give to another person. Thank you for giving me that gift.”

- Trish Doheny ’14

“I love being a member of this university in every aspect. I was a walk-on to the Fairfield Men’s Rowing Team the fall of my freshman year and was honored as a junior to be the captain. Fairfield University has presented me opportunities to grow as an athlete, a scholar, a Eucharistic Minister, a tutor for underprivileged students, and as a participant in many other extracurricular activities on campus. I am very aware that these opportunities presented here at Fairfield are gifts. When it is time for me to move on after graduation I will look forward to contributing as an active alumnus. I will do all I can to give another student the opportunities I have been blessed to have.”

- Matthew McNeill ’13

“I love being a Stag and enjoy each day. I am working to benefit all that I can from what is offered. Thank you so much for supporting me. I will continue to work hard and not let your gift go to waste! One day, I hope to be as generous to someone else as you have been to me.”

- Danica Ceballos ’14

“My time at Fairfield has meant more to me than I can express. The opportunities that I have had, the knowledge that I have gained and the people that I have met will stay with me forever, and I thank you for making all of this possible.”

- Charles Knights ’12

“There is no way to describe how thankful I am for your donations and the impact that your help will have in my life. The education I am currently receiving will always be part of me, no one can take that away.”

- Fabiola Blas ’14

“Had it not been for this scholarship, I would not have been able to attend Fairfield University and partake in the once-in-a-lifetime experiences, nor would I have met the amazing individuals I have befriended over the last four years. These past four years have been very important for me as far as personal accomplishment and reflection. I truly thank you!”
