Yohuru Williams, Ph.D., shares his views on the Supreme Court striking down the heart of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was a landmark achievement of the civil rights movement that outlawed discriminatory voting practices against minority groups, most specifically the African American community.
