Can Toyota regain drivers’ trust?

“The long-term prospects for the company are a little worrying at this point – Ford has already gone after Toyota customers,” said Mousumi Bose Godbol, assistant professor of marketing at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business. “Once this problem is sorted out, they’ll have to again re-emphasize to their customers what they stand for.” She said the most serious issue for the world’s largest auto manufacturer “isn’t a gas pedal problem, it’s a consumer confidence problem.”
