P.T. Barnum tells his own story in new one-man play

Show-biz genius or master of hype? Phineas Taylor Barnum was both of those things, as well as a vital part of the state of Connecticut for most of his life. The myth will be separated from the man in a new one-person play, “Barnum Tonight!,” that is being given two staged readings at Fairfield University on Sunday and Aug. 21. The play is written by Leo B. Meyer and will star Tom Zingarelli, the actor who is also executive director of the university’s Quick Center.
