“You can’t measure what we teach”

Those are just a few of the responses that Orin L. Grossman, academic vice president at Fairfield University, said he has heard from faculty members – especially in the humanities – who resist the notion that they and their colleges must find ways to measure how, and how much, their students learn in the classroom.
