The Weymouth granite building sits on the highest part of the campus, but it’s on its lowest level where its treasures certainly elevate it to one of the best renovated “basements” a home could ever have. The Bellarmine Museum of Art is the newest gem on the campus of Fairfield University and one of the state’s newest museums of art – a gorgeous 2,700 square-foot space which opened in late October and is about to unveil its second major exhibit – “Norman Gorbaty: Works in Dialogue” – on Jan. 26 in conjunction with the Gorbaty “Judaics” show at the Walsh Gallery at the Quick Center for the Arts.
