It didn’t take long for interest to pique for buildings that formerly housed Borders stores in southern and southwestern Connecticut. Fairfield University in July announced plans to open an off-campus book store at Borders’ former space in downtown Fairfield, and prospects for new tenants look good at the former Stamford location, as well as several other sites.
