Paul Lakeland, Ph.D., Aloysius P. Kelley, S.J. Chair in Catholic Studies, interviewed about ‘More Than a Monologue’

In an unprecedented collaboration, Roman Catholic universities and non-denominational divinity schools are collaborating to change the conversation about sexual diversity and the Catholic Church. Fordham University, Union Theological Seminary, Yale Divinity School, and Fairfield University are jointly producing a series of events entitled More Than a Monologue: Sexual Diversity and theCatholic Church. The second conference in the series, at Union Theological Seminary last Saturday, focused on the issue of teen suicide or attempted suicide. LGBTQ kids are four times more likely than their straight counterparts to do one or the other. Dr. Kelby Harrison from Union, the principal organizer of the Union conference, was also interviewed.
