Marketing guru says money, Wall Street, undermine business

John Neal, who teaches marketing at the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, calls Trout the “Vince Lombardi of brand managers,” whom he has known for 20 years. Neal hopes Trout’s talk will leave audience members with a lesson in the basics of building a brand. He said businesses need to answer the question, “What’s in it for the consumer?” and then deliver.
