Great article! Thanks for uncovering such a beautiful and historical piece of artwork that gives credit to such a dedicated order of Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur from whom I was taught as was my mom. The discovery and efforts by Jim Scholl and the care given by Facilities Management crew to restore the plaque and the well written article by Nina Riccio should be applauded!

I would love to see Fairfield University mention the Sisters of Notre Dame (SND)and their relationship to the University during the tours given to new students and families. I didn't know of such history until finding out from our close family friend, a SND who graduated from Fairfield University in 1969 (entered order in the 1940s). Having been an educator in the Connecticut schools she is now retired and lives at an Assisted Living facility for SND's in Worcester, MA. She had great memories of Fairfield University. Thanks again!

Mediation is an excellent technique to use when dealing with the emotionally charged divorce process. Through my research I have noticed that many families tend to communicate more clearly after having engaged in mediation and this benefits both the parents and the children involved. Great article giving an insiders perspective of the industry.
