The third annual Job Shadow Week gave 240 juniors and seniors – double last year’s numbers – a taste of the real work world this January. Alumni Career Services and the University Career Planning Center paired students with alumni in fields as diverse as sports marketing, TV production, and healthcare in sites across the country.
Fairfield alumni generously offered day, half-day, and lunch meetings with one or more students as part of this career readiness process, said Julie Tuozzoli ’85, director of Alumni Career Services. Meredith Tornabene, associate director of the Career Planning Center, spearheaded the matching process, assessing each student request. “It’s evident students are very eager to see where their Fairfield University education can potentially take them,” Tornabene said.
