Dr. Katherine Schwab will present “How to Look Like a Greek Goddess” to teens at Wilton Public Library

Ever wanted to look like a Greek goddess? It’s all in the hair! Teens in grades 6 – 12 will learn about the ancient art of hair braiding and the Caryatid hairstyles found on the maiden statues in the Anthenian Acropolis. A short documentary will be shown and then Dr. Katherine Schwab (Art History Professor, and Curator of the Plaster Casts at the Bellarmine Museum of Art) will give a presentation while professional hair stylist, Milexy Torres, demonstrates braiding techniques and provides tips on how you can do this too. March 3, 2013 at the Wilton Public Library, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Free and open to the public, reservations suggested.Kore_E_28e
