Writing Center tutors speak at NEWCA Conference

Prof. Bowen and five undergraduate Writing Center tutors presented their research at a annual conference of the Northeast Writing Center Association at the University of Hartford on April 4.

Their session, “Record, Reflect, Renew: Using iPods to Understand Writing Center Work,” described a multi-year project in which tutors had recorded conference sessions using iPods and reflected on their work as part of their professional development activities. The tutors were Catherine Forsa ’09; Michelle Morrison, ’10; Lily Norton, ’10; Dana Sharkey, ’09; and Joseph Zagami, ’10.
