Nutritious Snacks for Children

gseap_nystrom_08On Thursday, February 11, the first brown bag lunch sponsored through a collaboration between the School of Nursing and the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions was held. At the brown bag meeting, Dr. Barbara Welles-Nystrom and the School of Nursing VA Nursing Faculty member, Suzanne Chaplik, MSN, RN as well as 7 nursing students shared information about what to feed young children.

Parents of the University Early Learning Center and other interested parents on campus attended. The nursing students prepared posters showing developmentally appropriate snacks for infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children and answered questions from the audience. We all thought that it was a great event and the topic will be offered again on March 4th.
