Two Fairfield University students, Tara Hurley of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Allyson Wuensch of North Haledon, N.J., have been awarded a grant from the College of Arts and Sciences’ Humanities Institute to develop activities promoting humanitarian advocacy.
The two seniors are members of the International Studies/Business Club’s student-led Humanitarian Advocacy Project, a joint initiative with the International Studies Program which encourages students to be more informed about and participate in some of today’s most pressing global concerns. The grant enabled members of the project to arrange several events on the Fairfield campus this spring aimed at increasing dialogue about current humanitarian efforts and global citizenship. All events are open to the public and admission is free.
