The Roommate Game

Fairfield students gathered in the lower level of the BCC the evening of March 3 to witness the final showdown of the Roommate Game, which is sponsored by IRHA as the final event in Community Pride Week.

The Game involves pairs of roommates from each residence hall competing to see who knows their roommate the best. Sitting atop a stage in the center of the room, the pairs answered questions jeopardy-style, regarding their roommates’ habits, preferences, and ideals.

Questions asked included the color of the roommates’ towels, what their favorite candy was, and their favorite holidays. Pairs were judged by how closely their answers matched up, with points awarded to those who seemed to know their other half best.

Students in the audience seemed to enjoy the competition between friends, with laughs coming from the audience as teams struggled to win the coveted first prize – and to be able to call themselves “the perfect roommates.”
