Josh Robichaud ’13

Program: Politics with a Business Law and Ethics Minor

Activities: RA in the Man 2 Man Living and Learning Community

I chose Fairfield because…

I was looking for a place where I was more than just a number; a place where I could get to know my professors and fellow students on a deeper level and where I could make a difference in the world around me.

I chose my major because…

I have a big interest in current events, particularly American politics, and this major allowed we some unique opportunities to get involved and it connected me with knowledgeable professors in the areas that interest me.

My favorite thing to do on campus is…

Play Frisbee Golf with friends.

What’s your most memorable academic experience?…

Getting my letter to the editor published in the New York Times.

Outside of the classroom my favorite thing at Fairfield that really enhances my experience is…

Working as an RA running the Man 2 Man program in Campion Hall. It gives me the opportunity to connect with underclassmen guys who are looking to get more out of their college experience than just classes and a social life.

When I have free time I like to…

go rock climbing with friends at the rock gym in town.

One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is…

The amount of free time you have. Classes are actually a very small part of the day, but I spend just as much time out of class studying and working on class work. This fits my learning style very well and has allowed me to get involved on campus.

One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to Fairfield is…

I enjoy being a leader and encouraging other people to do the same.

After graduation, I plan to…

attend Law School.

The one Fairfield experience I will always remember will be…

last year’s game against Siena. There was such a feeling of school pride and I had a great time with my friends.
