Calling all business professionals!  A follow link.

The seminar, which initiates a new emphasis in the DSB on Executive Education, is directed towards senior managers and director level positions. Participants will gain experience in creating and driving strategy, building and developing teams, and delivering business results. Participants will take part in a simulation that balances all aspects of growing a business.  Dr. Conine said that in this innovative simulation environment, one that he uses to teach Fairfield undergraduates and graduates, participants learn how to make good decisions under uncertainty, time pressure, limited information, scarce resources, and divergent opinions – all factors that are present in real business situations.

The program also offers people the opportunity to engage in cross-functional thinking and networking, and receive feedback on their leadership potential. “The simulation is like a day in the life of a general manager,” said Dr. Conine. He also noted that it’s beneficial for people to attend because it provides the opportunity for participants to see how other industries approach decision-making and how it might differ from their own.

In addition to the simulation activities, faculty-led discussions will be offered covering topics such as strategy, driving growth, managing innovation, and ethics and leadership. While the program lasts only three days, a lot is offered. “The pace is fast and intense,” explained Dr. Conine, “But people get into the spirit of competition and learn a lot by doing. Also, there’s lots of time devoted in the day to debriefing and reflection and people can continually talk about the experiences and what they can do to improve.” And, most importantly, all participants will develop a network and friendships, which will endure long past the three days.

Dr. Conine has been teaching executives for 30 years, seeking to help business leaders improve their performance and bring greater value to their businesses. As part of his company, pills online in the usa. , founded to teach executives, he has traveled the globe to hold programs in every continent except Antarctica. This is the first time this open enrollment program will be offered on the east coast, in collaboration with the DSB.
