Fairfield University Counseling Intern Emily Adams entered an American Counseling Association (ACA) essay contest and won free registration to the ACA Conference in March. Emily has served as a Graduate Student Representative to the Connecticut Counseling Association (CCA) for the past two years.

“Emily is an excellent counselor and a terrific person,” said her instructor, Bob Schmidt, adjunct instructor for the Counselor Education Department. “Emily was in my Practicum class last fall and is now in my internship class this spring. She is a highly professional and caring person who will become a great school counselor. I applaud her for getting involved with CCA and ACA at this time in her career. It is just one example of how dedicated she is to the counseling profession,” said Schmidt.
