Charlotte Adinolfi ’12 was recently selected by Fairfield University President Reverend Jeffrey von Arx, S.J., to receive a citation from the State of Connecticut House of Representatives at the College Academic Day at the Capitol in Hartford, Conn. on April 18. This was the 15th annual College Academic Day, a day dedicated to recognizing high achieving students within the state of Connecticut. Each college and university in the state selects a senior to receive this citation and be recognized at the state capitol.
The citation was issued by the General Assembly at a special awards presentation on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. State Representatives Richard Roy, Pam Sawyer, and Roberta Willis delivered the citation and introduced the honorees to the members of the House Chamber.
Charlotte was nominated and selected for this prestigious honor because of her outstanding academic achievement as well as her strong record of engagement and leadership outside the classroom. Charlotte is a member of the prestigious Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society and excelled in the classroom while also taking on the responsibility as a resident assistant in Loyola Hall last year. Among her other activities, Charlotte was the Managing Editor at the student newspaper, The Mirror, and has participated in several service trips, traveling three times to New Orleans and once to Washington D.C.
Fairfield University is very proud and appreciative of Charlotte who has combined her love of learning and service, making a positive, long-lasting impact on campus and beyond.
